1. Ready to learn and adapt
A guy who has stood strong against all odds, a man of his principles, an actor, who had the guts to say no to many big projects and people, who wanted him to compromise on his identity. Meet Diljit Dosanjh — pind di shaan. He was recently crowned as ‘The Most Desirable Man of Chandigarh’. So, we want to analyse ki aejhi kedi gaal hai…apne paaji wich? Scroll down to find out.
After giving blockbusters in Pollywood, thoda bahuti maan te aa hi janda hai. But it doesn’t apply to Diljit. He is ready to learn from his co-actors. In fact, during his last Hindi release Good Newwz, Diljit openly said that he was just observing Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and was learning from them.
2. Frank and truly honest
Diljit is known to be frank and honest. He has been quoted saying that he can’t stand or work with people who don’t match his thinking or wavelength. However, he said that it is one of his weaknesses. The Super Singh doesn’t even have any PR machinery as he chooses to stick with people who were with him right from the beginning.
3. Dedication towards his work
He loves his work…he just wants to juggle between singing, doing live shows, doing movies in Punjabi and Hindi, being on television — everything. In an interview, Diljit said that he had never planned for any of these. For him, being a singer was a big dream and then doing movies was another milestone. Getting into Bollywood was a challenge he took, as no one had imagined an actor wearing a turban will be playing a lead. But it is the love of his fans that inspire him to go strong and prove himself time and again.
4. Values over fame
The filmy Turbanator is not concerned about being famous as he has reportedly rejected many films from Bollywood and Pollywood which he thinks are distinct from his identity. He has no regrets as he doesn’t want to do a film where he can’t wear his turban or he doesn’t want to do a character which is morally incorrect.
5. Rooted to his faith
When someone asked him who he follows or likes to listen to being a singer himself, Diljit replied that he loves to listen to Sant Gyani Maskeen Ji’s words of wisdom. He even shared that while taking a shower, he recites Chaupai Sahib (Paath) as he believes that it can relieve him from any stress or problem. Diljit knows how to play the tabla and harmonium and he can even recite the Gurbani Ragas.
Being sweet, humble and yet thinking that he is selfish, is what makes our #Dosanjhwala so special. Do you agree with us? Let us know in the comments section below.
